The fourth and fifth graders continue to work with stories. The fourth graders have been following "el estudiante loco" in España as part of a travel unit; they are learning about Madrid right now. They also had fun learning about "El Gordo," the Spanish lottery on December 22. First, they bought and sold billetes y décimos. Then, we had a drawing and many students were winners! The fifth graders have just started a story about "Carlos y los 3 monstruos." It is so fun to watch them act the story out. Their reading skills and comprehension continue to grow.
